Meet Ashleigh Bravo

Growing up the child of a southern cook and a Greek father, Ashleigh Bravo learned to enjoy and understand food at a very early age. As the centerpiece of most conversations and family gatherings, food and cooking became the focal point of her early childhood. Even though she was always in the kitchen tasting her Mom's marvelous creations, she was rarely allowed to get her hands into the cooking.

It wasn't until Ashleigh had her own kitchen that she moved from taster to cook, and all around kitchen diva. Ashleigh believes that food should be simple, taste great and always be the centerpiece of great company and lively conversation.

Ashleigh took her passion one step further by attending and recently graduating from The Culinary Academy of Austin. It was her love of food and entrepreneurial spirit that spurred her to start Great Taste Austin™. What better way to discover the hidden (or not so hidden) jewels that Austin has to offer than to watch a quick interview with top chefs showcasing their masterpieces.

Great Taste Austin focuses exclusively on area restaurants, helping patrons decide where to go for that perfect evening out, finding who in town loves catering to kids or providing the inspiration to explore new cuisines and places.
